Papers of Eisenscher, a long-time Wisconsin Communist Party activist, documenting his World War II military service, Communist Party affiliation, and political activities. Included are articles, correspondence, and pamphlets related to Eisenscher's military service, his refusal to testify at a 1955 HUAC hearing, his association with the "People's Daily World" to which he was a regular contributor, the political climate in Chicago during the 1980s and 1990s, his 1970 visit to the USSR, and his unsuccessful campaigns for mayor of Milwaukee and governor of Wisconsin in the 1940s.
